Questions

Everything people ask before the first pouch.

Straight answers, including the ones that talk you out of it. If something is not here, email me and it gets added.

The product

Will these actually keep me full?

For a few hours, yes, and that is the honest ceiling. A serving is 2 bites, 30g, and it is dates, almonds, walnuts and chia. Fiber and fat, not air and sugar, so it lands differently than a snack that spikes you and drops you forty minutes later.

It is a snack, not a meal. If you are eating one instead of lunch you will be hungry, and that is not a product failure.

How many bites are in a pouch?

8 bites, 120g. A serving is 2 bites, so that is 4 servings a pouch. The 3-pack is 24 bites.

How long does a 3-pack last?

At one serving a day, 12 days. Most people land somewhere between that and three weeks depending on whether anyone else in the house finds the pouch.

That is the reason Subscribe & Save exists. It shows up before you run out, takes 15% off, and ships free.

What do they taste like?

Date sweetness first, then raw cacao keeping it from tipping into candy, then the ginger heat on the finish. Turmeric is doing the earthy warmth and most of the color.

People who expect a protein bar are surprised by how much it tastes like food. People who expect a dessert are surprised it is not sweeter.

How do I store them?

Cool and dry, out of direct sun. There is nothing in the recipe holding the texture together except coconut oil, so a hot car will soften them and the fridge will firm them up. Both taste fine. Every pouch is printed with a best by date.

If a question here talks you out of buying, it did its job.

Ingredients and diet

Why dates instead of a sweetener?

Because a date is already the whole thing. Sweetness with the fiber still attached, which is exactly what gets stripped out when a syrup gets made. I grew up in Egypt where dates sat on the table like bread, not like a health product, and that is still how I think about them.

Using dates as the sweetener is also what makes the no added sugar line true instead of a technicality.

Are these keto friendly?

No. Dates are the sweetener, so the carbs come from whole fruit and there are real carbs in here. If you are counting to stay in ketosis this is not your snack, and I would rather tell you now than have you find out from the panel.

What they are: no added sugar, gluten free, dairy free, plant based, 9 organic ingredients.

Is there any added sugar?

None. No cane sugar, no date syrup, no agave, no tapioca or brown rice syrup, no sugar alcohols, no stevia or monk fruit. Nine ingredients, and the sweet one is the fruit.

What is in them, exactly?

Organic dates, almonds, walnuts, raw cacao, coconut oil, chia, ginger, turmeric and black pepper. That is the full list, in order of how much of each there is.

The black pepper is in there for a reason. It is what makes the turmeric worth including at all.

Do they contain nuts or common allergens?

Contains: Almond, Walnut, Coconut. Manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts and other tree nuts. That is the statement printed on the pouch, word for word.

No gluten, dairy, soy or egg in the recipe.

Shipping, subscriptions and refunds

Where are they made?

In a small factory in New Jersey, in small batches. Every batch gets tasted before it goes into a pouch. It is not a metaphor and it is not a story, it is just the size of the operation right now.

What does shipping cost?

One time orders ship free at $50 and over. Under $50, economy shipping is $8 and takes 5 to 8 business days. Every subscription order ships free, at any size.

So the 6-pack and the 9-pack ship free either way. A one time 3-pack at $29.99 does not clear the threshold, but a 3-pack subscription does.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not yet. Right now we ship inside the United States only. If you want DATI somewhere else, email me and tell me where, because that list is how we will pick the first country.

How does Subscribe & Save work?

15% off every order, free shipping every order. You pick the bundle and the interval, it arrives on schedule, and you can change the date, swap the size, skip a delivery or cancel from the link in any order email. No phone call, no retention script.

What if I do not like them?

Email hello@eatdati.com within 30 days and I will refund you. You do not have to ship anything back, and you do not have to explain yourself, though I would like to know what missed so the next batch is better.

Who is answering these emails?

Me. Sixteen years in the CPG industry, then a kid, then a snack I did not have to investigate. If you write in, you are writing to the person who tasted the batch.
